HauteLook.com

OH EMM GEE!!! HauteLook.com is having a JUICY COUTURE SALE!!!!!

For those of you who don't know what the site is, HauteLook is a online shopping site where they have name brand sales every other day. They sell things from clothes, shoes, jewelry, rugs, furniture, to beach vacations; all at a discounted price. I personally joined because they have sales on Urban Decay Makeup every 2 months, and I love NOT paying full price for things. There is no price to join, and no repercussions if you don't buy anything, unlike Shoedazzle, and other sites of the like.
The only annoying thing, in my opinion, is that they send you emails EVERY DAY. Now, if you don't check your email for a while, things could start to pile up... if you know what I mean.
Of course you do.
But that is the only downside.
Now I will be the first to say, I have never purchased anything from the site... YET. So I don't know from experience how they are on shipping and returns, but if you want to look into that, I know there are a ton of forums out there with people who have bought from them, who will let you know.

But, back to the fun part. THE JUICY SALE. They are having a sale on Juicy Couture Shoes, Handbags, Wallets, and Jewelry RIGHT NOW. It ends this friday, 05/20 at 8am pst.
Here are a few things I was interested in:

I love this wallet, so adorable with the little flowers. It would be perfect for spring and summer. It is on sale for: $39.00, and retails for $78.00

This bag is the one I REALLY WANT! It is on sale for $89.00 originally $178.00.

This bag is sooo cute, I particularly love the little key on the side. It is on sale for $71.00. It originally retails for $158.00.

If you guys get anything or join, let me know!

...

Man, I really want that purse... LOL.

Well, I'm going to get back to licking envelopes for our invites to the wedding....

Wedding Dresses

As you guys know, Nate and I are getting married in July, and we have been planning our wedding for some time now. Well, actually quite a while, since Nate proposed to me in the summer of '08. But the dress hunting didn't happen till a few weeks ago. This is what happens when you live in a family of procrastinators. Well, ok, just my mom and I are procrastinators. But we were the key components, ok?

Well, as it so happened, I ended up only going to 2 shops in total. The first one was David's Bridal, where I tried on my very first dress. This was with my best friend and maid of honor, Crystal. The moment she strapped me in, I started crying. I wasn't the first though, because Crystal had been crying since I put the slip on.
Well, I didn't want to buy it because I had never tried on another dress.

So we scheduled an appointment to go to another store nearby. This time, I brought the whole brood. My mom, grandma, dad, step-mom, nana, maid of honor, the other three bride's maids, one of my flower girls, and my youngest brother.
Like I said, the whole brood.
We tried on MANY dresses, and these were the most notable:

This was one that my dad had picked out for me. It was pretty, but I felt like a cake topper in it. It just didn't suit me.

This one was picked out by my grandma and my nana. They liked the mermaid style, and the simplicity of it. I felt that it gave me a little too much curvature, and it was a bit too plain.

This was one of the best ones I had tried on. My little sister picked it out. I really liked the fabric, the detail, and the way it fit me. It was almost perfect, but something was missing. At the moment, I didn't know what.

This one just felt special from the moment I put it on. I actually picked it out. I tried it on, and spent the most time in it. I couldn't help but feel something was missing.

Crystal knew though. It was the first dress I had tired on, and this one looked the most like it. The reason why I couldn't make up my mind about it was because I was thinking about the one that got away.
Well, it didn't get away, but it was the first dress I had ever tried on. After trying all these dresses on, I knew the first one was THE ONE. So we actually left the bridal shop and went back to David's Bridal and bought it then and there. I can't show you guys just yet, because Nate snoops around on my blog a lot, so you guys will have to wait till wedding pictures to see.

Now you're just as excited as I am right?

Friday Favorites

I have recently become attached to Lauren Conrad's new website, www.laurenconrad.com . It has been a welcome escape from my week of horrors... I mean homework :). One of the posts she does each week is called Friday Favorites, where she posts a few things that she enjoyed throughout the week, so I decided I'd give it a whirl. Here are the thing that have gotten me through final's week:

Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino's

The song Everlong by the Foo Fighters

Cheetos Puffs

Cat Naps... Which I could use a few more of, after some almost ALL NIGHTERS...

And my nightly stress saver, my Dentek Mouth Guard. It keeps me from grinding my teeth into dust, which I do in my sleep when I am stressed out. It's a subconscious thing, that I have tried to stop, but can't. Hence these:

What are you guys' Friday Favorites? Make a blog post and link it below, or post a comment!

Much Love,

Finals Week

So this week is finals week at my university, and it has been crazy. I am trying to get everything put together for the wedding, like finding another DJ since ours flaked out on us, and making sure I can get everyone their invites... and finding myself a pair of shoes!!!
But this week I have fully concentrated on my studies... Well, about as much as I can, since I have to have physical therapy, and being stuck on the couch.
((This will be explained once all is over))
BUT ANYWAYS....
I am trying to concentrate on my studies, but I am being distracted at every turn. I swear, sometimes I think I have ADD, but then I remember I am planning a wedding and trying to keep up my grades. I think everyone feels this way when they are less than 3 months away from the BIG DAY.
So all I have left now is the paper. I have a rather long paper to write for a seminar class I took a few weekends ago. It was about Functional and Dysfunctional Families. For this class, we were to find a book to read and write a book report on how it pertained to the class, and I will spare you the rest.
The book I chose was Bradshaw On: The Family. It was one of the books the instructor used to base the class on. He had chose a Dr. Phil book for us to read, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy it, read it, or even pick it up from the shelf.
I guess you could say that Dr. Phil and I aren't the best of friends....
I had to write a previous paper based on a book of his, and every time I picked up the book I felt like flinging it across the room...
Yeah....
Ok.
Maybe the aversion wasn't THAT bad, but I REALLY didn't want to go there again.
So I just wanted to let you guys know, what was up. Well, mainly I wanted to complain and ramble, but HEY, THATS FINE RIGHT???
I'm going to get back to this paper now, and get off the web.
For those of you in college GOOD LUCK ON YOUR FINALS. And to the rest of you... BE GLAD YOU DON'T HAVE FINALS. :)
Ciao. <3
